N turned 1 on August 6th and we had a small celebration for her that weekend with her grandparents and our siblings in our home.
I’m so glad we did because with #Covid19 and all the restrictions in place I really didn’t know how we could make this milestone as special and memorable as possible.
She definitely had no idea what was going on, but was excited enough with everyone around to skip her afternoon nap so when all the guests had arrived, we had to rush for photos because HRH was already tired and semi-grumpy by then! Nevertheless, I would say she had quite a day opening presents and stuffing her face with the delicious mango-lychee birthday cake.
I can’t believe she’s already 1. I think I’ve yet to fully internalise and accept it because on some days I still feel like I was in the labour ward just… last month? Now she’s walking and opening drawers and shaking her head for “no” and honestly turning into her own little person.
Okay I need to stop here before the emo mama comes out and y’all have to end up reading a sappy post.
