Apple Banana Cinnamon Pancakes

This is an absolute favourite. The “ABC” recipe is one of the most common first foods for babies weaning into solids and you can find it listed on almost every website you google baby foods for.

When I was starting out solids with N, I had asked on my Instagram what my mama-friends gave their babies. ABC puree kept coming up amongst the answers and so I thought hey why not I make pancakes out of them, since I wasn’t going to give her purees?

I’ll be honest – whenever I make these for N’s breakfast, I always end up having some myself. I love how the sourness of the apples are nicely balanced by the sweetness of the bananas. And as a busy mama, these oat-filled pancakes give me the energy I need to get through the morning and beyond because who knows what time I’ll get to have my lunch!

As usual, I serve N and myself and then I freeze the rest for other days. H doesn’t eat “baby food” *rolls eyes*.

I always freeze flat before popping them into a zipbag for other mornings.
